There’s a post going around that says that if someone attempts suicide via pills, you should feed them a glass of salt water to make them throw up. Do not do that! Depending on the poison or medication that the person took, inducing vomiting can royally fuck them up. Here is what you should do:

Call the Poison Control Center immediately, even if the person is not showing symptoms. Poison Control will know the proper course of action to take for the substance ingested! Their number (in the US, please add with other numbers if you can) is 1-800-222-1222, they are free, confidential, and 24 hours.
